Roshanda Burtscher has always been passionate about art. She grew up in Michigan where she currently lives with her husband, three sons, and Chihuahua named Mia. As a young child she would anxiously await the Sunday comics to arrive so she could draw the characters from the various comic strips. She remembers drawing portraits of the United States presidents for a second grade project and having drawing competitions with friends in junior high school. During high school she began teaching herself how to use an airbrush to paint textiles. As an adult this skill helped supplement her income and allowed her to fulfill her desire to create art.

She later attended classes at the University of Toledo where she received her BAE, Magnum Cum Laude, and an MAT from Marygrove College. She currently teaches k-8 art to students at a charter school in Toledo, Ohio.
