As a self-taught artist, much of my free time is spent drawing or studying the works of other artists. I have always been fascinated by the caricature artists that I would see at amusement parks and board walks. I tried to draw them a few times myself, but gave up quickly when I couldn't get that cartoon look. It wasn't until July 6, 2003 that I realized the art of caricatures could be taught. On that day I found an online caricature class, taught by Mauri Barnett, which I quickly signed up for. Since that day, there's been no stopping me! I am drawing caricatures every chance I get.
